Cleaning Tip

How to Keep Your Coffee Table Tidy in 3 Easy Steps

1. Invite a baby to hang out in your living room on a daily basis. Specifically, you need the type of baby who will cruise around endlessly, attempting to eat anything in its path.

2. Try to accomplish something while the baby is there, even a mindless task like reading a magazine.

3. After a solid month of the baby ingesting things that are not typically considered edible while you are trying to accomplish something, you may finally begin to learn not to use the coffee table as a place to store any papers, books, craft supplies, empty tea cups, or other ephemera.Your coffee table is now a place for toys only.

My method is flawless. The rest of my house may be a wreck, but my coffee table has never been so tidy for such an extended period of time.

...It seems like there should be an easier way.

Happy Easter and Prayer Buddy Reveal

He is risen! Alleluia!

CJ doesn't seem to care that all the Easter Bunny brought him was yogurt melts and chicken baby food. He is also in curiously good spirits for someone who has been battling a fever and a heinous viral rash for four days.

This year for Lenten Prayer Buddies I had the privilege of praying for Barb R. I prayed a decade of the Rosary for her and her intentions every time I sat down to feed CJ--that's roughly 1600 Hail Marys! It was wonderful to develop that discipline and I hope that she felt my prayers with her during the Lenten season.

Have a very blessed Easter season, everyone!

Too True

A few weeks ago I dropped some of my handmade items off at a consignment store in the next city over. They hadn't sold in my Etsy store and I wanted to see if I'd have better luck in the real world.

Today I took CJ to baby storytime at the library in that city and thought I would stop in at the consignment store.

When I came home I said to Nemo, "Well, none of my stuff sold, but I did get this--"

To which my dear Nemo said, "That's kind of the opposite of selling something."

Hmmm. He's right. But I'm still calling it a win.
